The John H. Chafee Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is an important Rhode Island heritage attraction. It was the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution where the America's metamorphosis from Agriculture to Industry started. The Blackstone River provided the power for the first successful textile mill in America - Slater Mill in Pawtucket, RI. The Corridor straddles the Blackstone River between Worcester in Massachusetts to Providence in Rhode Island and preserves important Industrial Heritage.
