GRAND CANYON
The Grand Canyon is one of the most famous natural wonders of the world and so, as you would expect, it is also one of the US's top tourist attractions.
The breathtaking vistas of the Grand Canyon are best experienced by air or river. By air offers the best views of the beauties of the Grand Canyon. Whilst the more adventurous should take a raft & shoot the rapids of the Grand Canyon !

The size of the Grand Canyon is truly awesome 277 river miles long, up to 18 miles wide, and a mile deep.
Hiking is a wonderful way to experience the Grand Canyon. However, do be careful as hiking in the Grand Canyon can be very dangerous. Adequate food & water are absolutely essential particularly in summer. Hikers must be prepared for the lack of water, extreme heat and cold, and isolation of the Grand Canyon. Test yourself with a hike into the Grand Canyon but plan well & be aware of your limitations.

The South Rim is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year as are camping, lodging, and restaurants. Summer Reservations are strongly recommended . Some facilities are only open in the summer.
A free shuttle bus system operates in the Grand Canyon Village area which makes your visit less stressful. Visit the park's visitor center at Canyon View Information Plaza, accessible only by shuttle.
Note: Whilst the average width of the Canyon is 10 miles, the car journey from the North Rim to the South Rim requires a five-hour drive of 215 miles!
The North Rim Lodging and camping & other visitor services are only open from mid-May to mid-October. Reservations are strongly recommended . Additional facilities are available in the surrounding Kaibab National Forest, the Kaibab Lodge area, and Jacob Lake.
