Vienna St Patricks Day Festival
It is a pleasure and an honour for the Embassy of Ireland to participate in the programme for the St Patrick’s festival in Vienna once again. The feast of the patron saint of Ireland, which is also our National Day, has been celebrated in Vienna for centuries, going back to the time of the Irish monks who founded the Schottenstift.This year’s celebration, which brings a programme of Irish culture and fun to the citizens of Vienna in the heart of the old imperial city, promises to be among the best ever. For this we must thank the organisers, especially Brian Patton and Joe Streibl.
