As part of ‘The Gathering Ireland 2013’ for the first time ever, St. Patrick’s Festival are inviting up to 8,000 people around the world to march in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin on 17 March 2013 - The People’s Parade is a once in a lifetime opportunity!
St. Patrick's Festival showcases all that is good about Ireland, both domestically and internationally. Its multi-faceted programme creates a carnival atmosphere, ignites Irish pride, creates uplifting powerful experiences and delivers lasting memories for the 1.6 million people who engage with the festival annually.
Street theatre and performance, pageantry, spectacle, music, dance, literature, comedy, film, and family events are presented as part of the diverse world class programme.
The Festival Parade on March 17 is the principal event on the programme. The spectacular procession meanders through the heart of Dublin City mesmerising the audience along the 2.6km route.
