St Patrick's Day celebrations Belfast 2012

Carnival Parade, 12 noon, 17th March

Belfast city centre becomes awash with colour and splendour as the St Patrick's Day carnival takes to the streets on 17 March 2012.

Community groups from all four corners of the city will join professional and amateur performers, musicians and acrobats in our annual St Patrick's Day carnival parade.

The parade will leave from Belfast City Hall as 12 noon and makes its way through the city centre, finishing at Custom House Square.

The theme for this year's parade is '2012', celebrating one amazing year featuring the Titanic Centenary and London 2012.

Concert, 1pm - 3pm

Custom House Square will be the venue for the 2012 St Patrick's Day concert. The concert will begin at 1pm and finish at 3pm with fun activities for kids, food stalls and street entertainers.

This free concert will feature a mix of traditional music and dance, with music from a popular artist.
