Saint Patrick's Day Parade 2008
Saturday 15 th March, 2008 at 10.00 am
The Queensland Irish Association is looking for jolly folk that want to get involved in the St Patrick’s Day Parade.
The Clubs section in the Parade titled, ‘The Irish Historical Story’ tells of the Irish men, women and children, of all trades and
professions, that were sent to Australia to help build a nation.
It’s an entertaining march through the main streets of Brisbane City dressed in fun costumes to represent the teachers,
widows and orphans, cane cutters, gold miners, lawyers and stockmen!
Meet at Queensland Irish Club, Adelaide Street
Time 8.30am for costume fittings
March from 10.00am to Botanical Gardens
Finish up with cold drinks in the Park for all involved!
