"Asia's largest St. Patrick's Day parade was supposed to mark its 20th anniversary last year, but it had the misfortune to fall a couple of days after the March 11 quake and tsunami and was (understandably) called off. If it's a year overdue, this 20th edition should be worth the wait. The main strip of Omotesando is closed to traffic on the afternoon of March 18, when a parade of costumed revellers, marching bands and cheerleaders wends its way up the hill and back again – then off to the nearest pub for a few rounds of Guinness."
