Glencove NY Saint Patrick's Day Parade 2008

The Glen Cove, Long Island, St . Patrick's Day Parade is one of the most colorful in the country, featuring huge "Thanksgiving Day
Parade" type balloons and a large number of pipe band, marching bands and other attractions.

It is followed by a gala Irish party at St. Patrick's Parish Hall.
The Glen Cove St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee, formed by the Glen Cove Hibernians, are the sponsors of the Glen Cove St. Patrick's Day Parade.

John Canning is this year's parade Grand Marshal with Jeffrey Moore and Mary Lynn Johnson as his Aides.

The parade has grown to be the largest annual parade in Glen Cove and a civic celebration that is eagerly awaited each spring by all residents of the North Shore and the entire Irish community
of Long Island.
