NANCY C. MURPHY is the owner of the law firm of Nancy C. Murphy & Associates, and limits her practice to family law in Cook, Lake and DuPage Counties.

Upon graduating from John Marshall Law School in 1989, she worked as a staff attorney for the Family Law Project at the Legal Assistance Foundation of Chicago until 1996.

Chicago family law attorney Nancy C. Murphy is a member of the State's Attorney Domestic Violence Committee, the Cook County Child Representative's Roster, the American Bar Association (Family Law and Litigation section), the Illinois State Bar Association (Family Law section), the Chicago Bar Association and the following Chicago Bar Association committees: Alliance of Women (domestic violence subcommittee) and Matrimonial Law.

Nancy was the past President of the Illinois Task Force on Child Support and was hand-chosen by the Presiding Judge of the Domestic Relations Division to help implement the Cook County "Focus on the Children" program. She has trained prestigious Chicago law firms in such matters as custody, child support and domestic violence issues.
