Portland Bull Feeneys Irish Pub
Bull Feeney's Irish Pub is named after John A. Feeney from Spiddal Galway who moved to Portland, Maine in 1878 & established 5 saloons. John's son, John M. Feeney, was a successful fullback nicknamed "Bull" who changed his name to John Ford (directed "The Quiet Man"). Bull Feeney's honors those emigrant families.
