A city with many ‘spanish’ looking folk descended from sailors from the Spanish Armada which wrecked off the West Coast of Galway in 1588.

It is a fascinating medieval city with Jazz & Irish jigs been played in the pubs . There is plenty to see and do. Horse racing enthusiasts might take in the famous Galway Races or there is the Galway Arts Festival for the more culturally minded.

Connemara and the Aran Islands are close by. Connemara is famous for the Connemara Pony – check out the annual Spring Connemara Pony Festival.
