Savannah March of Dimes 5K Shamrock Run and Fitness Walk

Friday March 7, 2008 at 6.00 pm City Market, Historic Downtown Congress & Jefferson Street Savannah The Savannah Shamrock Run is hailed by local runners as “an institution” and “a must run for anyone who is serious about running in the Savannah area.”

The 2007 Shamrock Run had a turnout of over 1500 runners and walkers and raised over $37,000 for our fight to save babies from premature birth, birth defects, and infant death. Join us for a fantastic run, starting in City Market and winding around the beautiful squares of historic downtown Savannah to Forsyth Park and back to City Market, with refreshments, music, a costume contest and award ceremony following the race.

www.marchofdimes.com/georgia 100% of the proceeds benefit the mission of the March of Dimes to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, prematurity, and infant mortality. We carry out this mission through programs of research, community services, education and advocacy.

Day of Race Registration: *NEW TIME* 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm at City Market. PLEASE REGISTER EARLY! Kiddie Run 5:40 pm FREE for children 10 and under. All children must register and have a parent or guardian sign the event waiver to participate.

5K Race start time: 6:00pm 5K Fitness Walk start time: 6:05 pm PACKET PICK-UP: Pick up your t-shirt, timing chip and race packet on Thursday, March 6th from 10 am to 6 pm, Fleet Feet Sports, 3405 Waters Avenue, Savannah, GA 31404 (912) 355-3527. You may register at packet pick-up or on the day of the race. Packet pick-up/Race Day registration is $30. T-SHIRTS: All paid participants will receive the official Shamrock Run t-shirt. T-shirts are not included in the free Kiddie Run. We do our best to give you your requested shirt size. We cannot guarantee your size will be available. Please register early and pick up your t-shirt/race packet on packet pick-up day to ensure you receive your requested size!
